Note To Self: Take A Voice Class
My latest audition was for a fandub of an anime called Special A. I tried out for Akira Toudou, since I haven’t perfected a “boy” voice yet, and Akira seemed to be the only girl my quirky voice could ever have a chance at suiting.
And still, Akira’s the highest voice I’ve ever attempted, methinks! I spent, like, a good time gliding around high-pitches to prep for big the try-out.
The recruiter ended up not liking it anyway. Oops.

One of her complaints was of my bad audio quality, so, euuugh…. I knew it stood out with this audition. Luckily, my microphone’s coming in tomorrow, so hopefully the improvement’ll help convince her with a re-do. (OMG THANK YOU, YI <3.)
And another thing she said was that my voice was too low for the role. Which…kinda fit as well. My quirky voice really screws me over at times like these.
Taking a voice class will hopefully help improve my versatility, and maybe my voice overall. Cuz honestly, I hate it when voice actors go and voice a character that they just can’t pull off. It’s like sorry, dude, you fail.
I don’t wanna be one of them.
Voice range = must be improved.

For the curious, here’s the character I tried out for:

And…here are my shit auditions for her XD.
