Daring To Dream

Looks like I’m being seriously considered for the role of Rana in an animation called The Meek.

I’ve already mentioned that I auditioned for three roles for it, crappy cellphone recordings included. I was actually thinking my voice was most suited for the part of Lethy, but tried out for Rana and Kid Luca for the sake of argument.

And, see….

The person who told me that I was close to being picked for Rana is the one and same person who offered me my awesome mic. Give a hand, everybody (all none of you <3), to Yi.

So…1) offered me mic. 2) is close to casting me a paying role.

Yeah, I am about to set up a damn shrine for these people. (Hey, maybe I should name my mic after Yi.)

About now, I am waiting for the house to vacate so I can finish up my re-dos for my Rana auditions. Apparently, the original creator said I have “Rana’s acerbic edge”, but I fucked up with Audition Line 3 (Not enough emotion. Dammit!).

Earlier, while recording, I was having much trouble re-finding Rana’s voice and putting more emotion in each line. With a crisp mic like mine, there’s no bad audio quality to mask bad acting.

Eventually, I had to take a break and make a mini audio-blog to loosen up.

I was stressin’ cuz I was over-excited, I know. But how can y’not, right? This is the big leap between remaining an amateur or taking the first step into my VA career.

…It doesn’t seem like I’m that estatic, does it?

Probably because I already overly spazzed out enough earlier to give my brain bruises on all sides and now it’s not really working right now to re-process such exciting information. Or because I’m trying really, really hard not to get my hopes up.

I think what went on is that my cellphone recordings were of such bad quality that my acting seemed better than it really is.

But…whatever happens will happen.

DAMMIT, FAMILY; LEAVE THE PREMISES SO I MAY RECORD MY AUDITIONS WITHOUT SO MUCH BACKGROUND NOISE. D<
